APMG-Showcase
Bringing the brightest Professionals together for a day of networking and discussion
The UK APMG-Showcase (formerly Best Practice Showcase) is taking place at the QE11 in Westminster on June 28th. The event provides a forum for professionals to learn about management best practices and share their experiences and ideas.
This year’s keynote speaker is Chris Hines MBE, former Eden Project Director and founder of Surfers against Sewage. Passionate about achieving change for the positive, Chris will share his insights into how to inspire and motivate colleagues and stakeholders.
John Cropper, Director of Project Management Services at LINGOS, will talk to delegates about how professionalising project management in the development sector is making a huge difference to the world’s most disadvantaged communities. Richard Pharro, CEO of APMG, will also be on stage following the organization’s recent Queens Award. He’ll talk about the difference that certification makes to organizations and to candidates as they strive to improve their capabilities.
The Showcase is renowned as a highly effective networking and educational event. This year IT service management has been added to the programme, offering an even more comprehensive view of management best practices in 2012. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet over 20 of the UK’s principal training organizations and ask them for career advice and guidance on how to use the qualifications they already hold.
Delegates are invited to join Birds of a Feather and Masterclass sessions on topics such as project, programme, change, benefits, earned value, risk and agile project management. IT service management, and ITIL® qualifications and implementation will also be discussed. Delegates can host a round table discussion if they want to share their professional wisdom.
APMG-Showcase is free to attend so organizations are encouraged to bring a few members of staff so they get the most out of the day. To find out more, register to attend or apply to lead a round table discussion, please visit the website.
