The PMT Process Framework eBook

Author(s): Geof Leigh
Ref:

The 'PMT Process Framework eBook', by Geof Leigh, packed with over 350 'pages' of interactive project and programme process information, is now available. And you can now see a video guide by clicking 'PMT . . . Movie' on the navigation bar on the left hand side. (On some connections it may take a short while to load - please be patient.)

It's the ideal starting point for organisations, or individuals, faced with the task of creating a framework, or benchmarking an existing framework. Teachers and students will also find it invaluable as a reference resource.

The author Geof Leigh is the other half of the duo who wrote the project and programme management novel, ‘One project too many’. The Framework is the technical backbone of 'One Project' and now the complete framework is available as an interactive book.

Anyone buying the ebook will get access to a web site to download the book and then, after paying, will get a password and unlock key to use it on a single computer.

The Process Framework distils real best practice for managing programmes and projects, from strategy all the way down to individual project teams. There are four entry points depending on the user's level of knowledge and numerous templates designed to get you started.

The Framework is compatible with best practice recommended in PRINCE2 and MSP (Managing Successful Projects)*. So those who have passed the exams will recognize similarities in approach, but for anyone who wants to manage projects for real this is the practical next step.

This 'book' is ideal for any business setting up a project management capabilty; interim project managers and contractors wanting a quick, ready reference to best practice; and project and programme managers seeking to benchmark their own processes.

Subscribers who are logged on will get an automatic 5% discount on the price through the web site, but we are currently offering it at a special price of £99 (plus VAT) which subscribers can obtain only by 'phoning the sales office on +44 (0) 118 932 6665. The special price is not available online.

*PRINCE2 and Managing Successful Programmes are owned by and copyright of the Office of Government Commerce. While The Framework is compatible with both methods it is not identical, nor does it use material from OGC publications. Anyone wanting to revise for PRINCE2 and MSP exams should consult the relevant OGC publications, or Accredited Training Organisations. Inevitably, some terms used in the Framework, ie, Risk Manager, are common to many project management methods including those of the OGC.
