Social media:

If you're running an online business today you need to be on social media. This doesn't mean that you need to be on every platform out there, but you need to know where your ideal clients are hanging out and be able to connect with them on these platforms.  

If you've never used social media before for your business, then the best way to do this is to start by picking 2-3 platforms that your ideal client will be using and then start engaging with them on these platforms. Although having a website for your business is not essential, it will certainly help when it comes to getting clients because they will have a place to go where they can easily identify what it is that you do, how you can help them, and if your business and brand is a good fit for them.

You could create weekly blog posts to share tips and insights with your audience that could help them solve a problem that they have so that when they need to go even deeper with that problem then they will look to hiring you.

Although live events are technically not always online and actually can be more effective when they're offline, it does help to combine offline live events and then bring those who attended back to your website. Since they may have already paid money to watch someone speak on this topic, then is a clear indication that they could be a good lead for you.
