Mott MacDonald and ARES Software UK have announced a new strategic global alliance to help clients improve the delivery performance of major projects.

The alliance combines Mott MacDonald’s project programme and commercial management advisory experience with ARES PRISM project management software solution to deliver more certain project outcomes by bringing structure and visibility throughout the development, construction and operational phases of a project.

The increasingly complexity of major projects today has driven a need for an evolution of the approach to deliver against tighter time and cost constraints.

Mott MacDonald and ARES PRISM will use their combined experience of dealing with project data integrity and systems knowledge to support clients and transform projects and programmes. ARES Software said the deal will enable visibility and drive predictable delivery against requirements with cost, time and quality targets met.

The partnership will use a programme management system that factors numerous data sets including time, risk management, project and cost forecasts, acting as a single source of truth across a project. Mott MacDonald already use the ARES PRISM solution in the delivery of projects in Rail, Highways and Defence both in the UK and overseas, delivering value, performance, and efficiency improvements.

The new alliance will see the two firms work to maximise ARES PRISM’s potential and improve its capabilities as it is adopted on more projects. The software, which takes significant amounts of data, links it together to show how a project is performing, whilst improving modelled risk, it says.

Steve Hoesli, Mott MacDonald’s Portfolio Director Transportation, said: “This exciting alliance will further improve the efficiency and effectiveness in our clients’ application of project control tools, techniques, and processes. By bringing together our complementary highly skilled resources, we will ensure that our clients see increased capability of their people, systems and technologies, creating a solid basis for tailored integrations and automations.”

Karl Vantine, Senior Vice President of Ares Software UK, said: “Mott MacDonald brings global project experience and first-hand knowledge of applying the ARES PRISM solution on key client projects. Their expertise combined with our tools provides the basis for well-managed projects and will deliver ever stronger solutions for transforming projects and programmes in the future.”
